It’s not that the iPhone XS or XS Max are any less great phones than the previous iPhone, but they’re actually better deals for the consumer.
According to a report from TechRadars, a new study by analyst firm IDC claims that the new iPhone is better for the user than the previously released iPhone 8.
In an analysis of over 1.5 million iPhone transactions, the firm found that the latest iPhone X, iPhone Xs, and iPhone X Plus are all better than the old iPhone 8 and 8 Plus.IDC’s report said that iPhone users who purchase a new iPhone now that they have upgraded to the new device will save between $1,700 and $4,900 in annual phone costs.
The analysis also found that while consumers can expect a significant increase in the cost of their smartphone purchases once the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are discontinued, there’s still an overall cost savings.
While Apple’s latest iPhone has a lower price point than the last iPhone, the iPhone SE is also significantly cheaper, according to the report.
According the report, Apple’s iPhone SE will be priced at $649 in the US, $749 in the UK, and $949 in Australia, while the iPhone 9s Plus will be $849 in Canada, the US and Europe.
